And Jesus knows.
Speaker A:So Jesus is guiding and the Holy Spirit is giving you those thoughts that'll help you out.
Speaker A:You feel called to something greater, but you're not sure what.
Speaker A:You've been praying and waiting for God to just show you your purpose, but you feel stuck.
Speaker A:Today I'm sharing three truths that you need to know if you want to uncover your God given purpose.
Speaker A:Grab your notebook and pen and let's dive in.
Speaker A:Are you ready to break free from feeling stuck, gain clarity and take intentional steps towards discovering your unique purpose?
Speaker A:All while following God's guidance to become the person that he created you to be?
Speaker A:If so, you are in the right place.
Speaker A:Hi, I'm Michelle, a mom, wife, Catholic discernment mentor and spiritual coach.
Speaker A:I've been where you are, feeling lost and uncertain about my purpose.
Speaker A:But through a Catholic based strategy of discernment, I found clarity, confidently embraced my calling and learned to hear God's voice in my life.
Speaker A:And now I want to help you do the same.
Speaker A:Grab your pen, get your notebook and get comfy.
Speaker A:Open your heart and mind and invite God in.
Speaker A:It's time to ignite your purpose and start living the life God created you for.
Speaker A:Let's do this.
Speaker A:I know you're feeling called to something greater, but you're struggling to see what it is.
Speaker A:You're praying and you're waiting for God to show you his plans, his purpose for you.
Speaker A:I felt called for something more and I didn't know what it was, but I knew I wanted to know more.
Speaker A:I knew that I needed him and I knew that I needed God to help me uncover his plan and personal purpose for my life.
Speaker A:I was actively searching for credible Catholic resources from Catholic priests and theologians just trying to find the truth and guidance that was in alignment with the Catholic faith.
Speaker A:And I knew that if this really mattered to me, then I needed to put it into work to uncover my unique purpose.
Speaker A:It was spending thousands of hours, but it was well worth it because in that season it helped me to realize this truth.
Speaker A:You cannot just pray and wait for God to just woo magically show you your purpose.
Speaker A:The first truth I want to talk about is that you cannot just pray and wait for God to magically show you your unique purpose.
Speaker A:I see so many beautiful souls stuck in the just praying and I'm going to wait because they're not sure what to do, what to do at that next step.
Speaker A:And I want to tell you it's like a puzzle.
Speaker A:You cannot see the full design without putting the whole pieces together.
Speaker A:And God, he needs you to do your work, to uncover unique purpose.
Speaker A:He designed you for what you would need to uncover his unique mission that he created you for.
Speaker A: ed of God's truth in Jeremiah: Speaker A:For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord.
Speaker A:Plans for welfare and not for evil.
Speaker A:To give you a future and a hope.
Speaker A:God, he needs you to do your work, to uncover your unique purpose.
Speaker A:He designed you for what you would need to uncover his unique mission that he created you.
Speaker A:For he is all knowing.
Speaker A:So God knew before you were ever created in your mother's womb, he knew what he created you for.
Speaker A:So therefore he knew how to design you so that you could accomplish it with his help.
Speaker A:And this, it takes self reflection.
Speaker A:You're looking at how he uniquely designed you, your gifts and your story.
Speaker A:It's a whole bunch of puzzle pieces and it's not hard.
Speaker A:You can figure it out.
Speaker A:And it's through uncovering your unique God given design and the gifts to help you start uncovering your unique purpose in life.
Speaker A:And the second truth that I want to anchor you in in this episode is God must be included in the process because he's the One who created you.
Speaker A:And here's another truth found in God's words.
Speaker A:Proverbs 19, verse 21.
Speaker A:Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will be established.
Speaker A:He knows your unique purpose because he created you for a unique purpose.
Speaker A:Before you were ever in your mother's womb, he willed, which means he wanted you to be born.
Speaker A:He wanted you for a unique purpose that only you can uniquely do.
Speaker A:You did not create yourself.
Speaker A:He created you and designed you for what you would need to help you make that difference, to help glorify him and his kingdom.
Speaker A:And you can do this by having a conversation and inviting him in in the process, asking him to help you uncover his unique purpose for you.
Speaker A:It's being open and allowing him to guide you.
Speaker A:So prayer and spending time with him is.
Speaker A:Is important.
Speaker A:Which leads me to my third truth that I want to leave you with today.
Speaker A:You must take steps forward or he cannot guide you.
Speaker A:And you're correct.
Speaker A:Yes, you must pray and include God, but you must take that action and we can turn again to God's truth.
Speaker A:In Proverbs 16, verse 9, a man's mind plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.
Speaker A:We are told directly from God.
Speaker A:Yeah, you may plan it in your mind, but it's Lord that directs his steps.
Speaker A:God directs you.
Speaker A:He tells you with the Holy Spirit.
Speaker A:Guiding you and Jesus knows.
Speaker A:So Jesus is guiding and the Holy Spirit is giving you those thoughts that'll help you out in your process of your self reflection and helping you guide you forward because he wants you to know that truth.
Speaker A:He doesn't want to mislead you.
Speaker A:And no, you cannot do this on your own as I see so many practices out there or so many people out there misguiding others and I don't want that.
Speaker A:I feel this in my heart, within my passion that you have to turn to God once again.
Speaker A:I know I spoke of this in another episode.
Speaker A:If you've been following along binge listening with me and I want to thank you for that, for being such a supporter and listening to me.
Speaker A:But again, as I said, I know of two of them out there right now through my own research and through this process.
Speaker A:Please stay away from the human design that is floating out there.
Speaker A:And I will link the episode where I make reference to that and I make it very adamant that you are to stay away from it because it is also within the Catholicism of the Catholic Church where you are not allowed to do that.
Speaker A: de it very clear in paragraph: Speaker A:Using astrology, horoscopes and trying to predict the future outside of God's will is forbidden.
Speaker A:That is not Christian discernment, that is seeking and taking power in your own hands, telling you what the world tells you, what your purpose is and not what God purpose is for you because he created you for that purpose.
Speaker A:He know what will ultimately make you happy.
Speaker A:You seek God and His design and his purpose for you.
Speaker A:Not with the world, not what everyone else tells you that your purpose is.
Speaker A:Or you can, oh, let's take the hard part out of it and let's give you an easy one by entering your birth date and it's going to tell you what your purpose is.
Speaker A:That is not.
Speaker A:That is not the case.
Speaker A:Please don't do that.
Speaker A:Because you cannot turn to astrology to give you your purpose because you're seeking that power from yourself, from something else and you're using a false God which is breaking one of the commandments.
Speaker A:And that's just the big no, no.
Speaker A:And I think I really need to probably do a deep dive into this human design because I'm afraid that some people that are trying to figure out their purpose may be dabbling or looking into that as well as the Enneagram.
Speaker A:And please stay away from that.
Speaker A:Just trust me.
Speaker A:I've done some research, I've digged into this with the Catholicism and follow along with some Catholic priests and it's just.
Speaker A:Please don't.
Speaker A:But back to this.
Speaker A:What I'm trying to tell you is that you must take those steps forward or he cannot guide you.
Speaker A:Because how can God guide you if you're not taking steps?
Speaker A:He cannot help guide you if you do not start moving forward.
Speaker A:Think of this as a mother and a baby duck.
Speaker A:That mother cannot guide the baby duck to help that little duckling cross the other side of the road if the baby does not start walking.
Speaker A:Correct.
Speaker A:Otherwise, if the baby doesn't move, it steps forward, it's not going to cross that road and the mother can't help guide it.
Speaker A:So this is true with God.
Speaker A:He cannot guide you if you're not moving forward.
Speaker A:You have to take steps beyond praying and waiting.
Speaker A:You must take steps in faith and allow him to guide you.
Speaker A:And God, he will open or close doors for you based on the actions that you're taking.
Speaker A:If it's his will for you and his plans for you, and he only wants good for you, he's not going to shut doors just to be mean, because that's not God.
Speaker A:God loves you so much because you are such a beloved daughter of His.
Speaker A:So to recap the three things that we talked about in this episode.
Speaker A:Truth number one, praying is important and we must do this to know him and to grow closer to Him.
Speaker A:And we cannot just pray, but we must do the work to uncover our own unique God given purpose.
Speaker A:Truth two, we must pray and invite him in on the process as we uncover his unique purpose for us.
Speaker A:We cannot work on converting the clues by leaving him out, omitting him from this process.
Speaker A:After all, he created us for our unique mission and we did not create ourselves for our own unique purpose.
Speaker A:And truth number three is we must take those steps to move forward.
Speaker A:Otherwise God, he cannot guide us on the path for his plans for us, his unique purpose for us.
Speaker A:And I want to leave you with some final thoughts.
Speaker A:You were created for a purpose, but it won't just fall into your lap prayer with God.
Speaker A:You need to partner with God.
Speaker A:Reflect on how he designed you.
Speaker A:Invite him in daily and take those bold, faithful steps.
Speaker A:Let us pray in the name of the Father, Son, Holy Spirit.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:Lord, thank you for creating us with intention and calling us to something greater than ourselves.
Speaker A:Give us the courage to seek, to reflect and to take action not in fear, but in faith.
Speaker A:Help us to partner with you as we uncover the purpose you placed within us.
Speaker A:We trust you to guide us through each step.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:Knowledge is power, but that true change happens when we pair it with consistent daily action.
Speaker A:We cannot gain clarity if we're not taking daily action to help us move forward.
Speaker A:Prayer is important and so I invite you today to ask the Lord to help you to walk with you on this journey.
Speaker A:Spend a few minutes journaling on this question what comes up when I speak to God and invite him into the process of discovering my purpose.
Speaker A: Spend some time,: Speaker A:Just begin there and see what comes up to you.
