Speaker A:

God knew the exact gifts, talents and personality you would need to carry out the mission he created just for you.

Speaker A:

Your unique God given purpose isn't something you have to make up, it's something to uncover.

Speaker A:

In today's episode, we're diving into three essential steps you can start taking right now to begin discerning your unique purpose with God.

Speaker A:

If you've ever wondered where to start or how to move forward when you feel stuck, this episode is for you.

Speaker A:

It's time to pause, look inward and let God show you the clues he's already placed within you.

Speaker A:

Grab your notebook, journal and pen.

Speaker A:

Let's dive in.

Speaker A:

Are you ready to break free from feeling stuck, gain clarity and take intentional steps towards discovering your unique purpose?

Speaker A:

All while following God's guidance to become the person that he created you to be?

Speaker A:

If so, you are in the right place.

Speaker A:

Hi, I'm Michelle, a mom, wife, Catholic discernment mentor and spiritual coach.

Speaker A:

I've been where you are, feeling lost and uncertain about my purpose.

Speaker A:

But through a Catholic based strategy of discernment, I found clarity, confidently embracing my calling and learn to hear God's voice in my life.

Speaker A:

And now I want to help you do the same.

Speaker A:

Grab your pen, get your notebook and get comfy, Open your heart and mind and invite God in.

Speaker A:

It's time to ignite your purpose and start living the life God created you for.

Speaker A:

Let's do this.

Speaker A:

I remember sitting pregnant with my daughter in my family room on the couch wondering what my purpose was, having that burning question on my heart, trying to figure it out on my own.

Speaker A:

I spent time reflecting and turning to God because I couldn't figure it out.

Speaker A:

I searched on the Internet in hopes to find what my unique purpose was, but ending up spending countless hours of my valuable time.

Speaker A:

It was pulling multiple resources and checking that it was all aligned in the Catholic faith.

Speaker A:

I would start and stop looking for my purpose because I felt overwhelmed with the lack of information and with the information out there.

Speaker A:

Especially in a practical framework, a guide from start to finish.

Speaker A:

I finally turned to God and did the mindset work to discover my purpose.

Speaker A:

With his guidance and in the insights I gathered, I built a clear path forward.

Speaker A:

I no longer feel lost or overwhelmed, just anchored in the light of his direction, becoming who he created me to be and fully embrace my unique God given purpose.

Speaker A:

I want to help you stop feeling overwhelmed, get unstuck and start stepping in the purpose that's meant just for you.

Speaker A:

Let's do this together.

Speaker A:

In order to know your unique God given purpose, you need a daily Consistent prayer life with God without daily and consistently spending time with God.

Speaker A:

How can he lead you to your unique God given purpose?

Speaker A:

How can he show you the steps he's calling you to take?

Speaker A:

Your purpose is a God given purpose.

Speaker A:

Meaning that your purpose was predetermined before you were ever created inside your mother's womb.

Speaker A:

God wanted you.

Speaker A:

He made you with intention for this time, this generation and this mission.

Speaker A:

Your purpose is not something you get to make up nor declare.

Speaker A:

This is my purpose.

Speaker A:

Just because it's your passion or it feels good.

Speaker A:

Your unique purpose is not something that you get to choose what it is you are given the grace to decide if you act on and ignite that nudge that you're feeling that you're made for more.

Speaker A:

You do not get to claim that this is My purpose because this is My passion.

Speaker A:

There are other factors, clues that go into determining what your unique God given purpose is.

Speaker A:

Your passion.

Speaker A:

It's a clue in the puzzle, but it's not the full picture.

Speaker A:

Purpose is revealed and not just chosen.

Speaker A:

And no, it's not in your birth date.

Speaker A:

And someone or something tells you who you are or this is what you were created for.

Speaker A:

This is not Christian discernment.

Speaker A:

That's spiritual counterfeit.

Speaker A:

That's astrology and very much against the Catholic Church.

Speaker A:

de it very clear in paragraph:

Speaker A:

Using astrology, horoscopes and trying to predict the future outside of God's will is forbidden.

Speaker A:

You can uncover your true unique God given purpose that you were distinctly created for by partnering with God.

Speaker A:

And it begins with spending time with God in prayer before your feet ever hit the floor before checking notifications, texts or missed calls.

Speaker A:

It starts with that real connection with the one that created you.

Speaker A:

That connection.

Speaker A:

It begins in prayer, a simple honest conversation with God.

Speaker A:

Start your morning with intention.

Speaker A:

Start your morning with your number one priority and that is God.

Speaker A:

You can start your morning with the simple, good morning Jesus.

Speaker A:

I actually heard that from a Catholic priest online and I thought, what a beautiful intimate way to invite God into your day.

Speaker A:

And that is something that I do as I wake up.

Speaker A:

And I've been trying to teach my daughter to say the same thing.

Speaker A:

My son is not of age yet to actually start saying that and comprehend that.

Speaker A:

But I'm working on that with my daughter.

Speaker A:

And from there you can build onto your morning routine with the morning offering prayer.

Speaker A:

And that's something that I started and love.

Speaker A:

You can search for that online.

Speaker A:

I'll add the morning offering prayer inside the free Facebook community Find you'd Purpose, discernment and strategy for Catholic Moms for easy access to the prayer and if you already have a consistent morning prayer routine, deepen it.

Speaker A:

Add scripture by sitting with the word, by reading or hearing it.

Speaker A:

Let God speak to you.

Speaker A:

Not just through you.

Speaker A:

Allow Him a place to speak to you.

Speaker A:

Spending time with him will allow him to lead you the second clue of the puzzle that goes into your unique God given purpose is how God uniquely designed you in your mother's womb.

Speaker A:

He knew the exact gifts, talents and personality needed to carry out your unique purpose.

Speaker A:

Your mission as you begin igniting and discerning your unique purpose, one of the key elements is looking inward.

Speaker A:

You want to start reflecting on who you are.

Speaker A:

So grab your journal and start reflecting on what your talents and gifts that God graciously bestowed upon you.

Speaker A:

These are more clues that go into determining what your unique God given purpose is.

Speaker A:

I invite you to listen to Episode four How to start discerning your unique purpose when you feel lost to deep dive into your unique knowledge or revisit it.

Speaker A:

If you're ready to start putting the puzzle together with God, I help walk you through to start reflecting on your knowledge.

Speaker A:

Another key element in discerning your unique God given purpose is taking daily consistent action.

Speaker A:

We need to start taking action for God to help you to take the next step on your journey.

Speaker A:

He needs you to take small steps.

Speaker A:

He will not reveal the whole plan that he has for your life.

Speaker A:

As a reminder to help shift your mindset, look to our Heavenly Mother Mary.

Speaker A:

When the angel Gabriel appeared to her, she wasn't given the full plan.

Speaker A:

Just one question and with great faith she said yes.

Speaker A:

Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord.

Speaker A:

Let it be done unto me according to your word.

Speaker A:

That is Luke 1:38.

Speaker A:

Mary didn't need all the details.

Speaker A:

She simply trusted God with the next step.

Speaker A:

Let her quiet surrender remind you.

Speaker A:

You don't have to see the whole picture.

Speaker A:

Just say yes to the next faithful step he keeps placing before you.

Speaker A:

She wasn't given the whole plan when Gabriel approached her and she was just asked that one question.

Speaker A:

That one question that was pivotal in our salvation history.

Speaker A:

God just needed her.

Speaker A:

Fiat her yes.

Speaker A:

I love how Father Mike Schmitz points out that after Gabriel left, he did not say all the trials she, Joseph nor Jesus would go through.

Speaker A:

God just needed her.

Speaker A:

Fiat her yes.

Speaker A:

Just take one step at a time.

Speaker A:

That is all you need to know.

Speaker A:

God has your back.

Speaker A:

Lean into God for guidance on your small stepping stone to take on your journey.

Speaker A:

He will guide you along the way.

Speaker A:

You do not have to have it all figured out.

Speaker A:

Just start taking those small actionable steps and faith.

Speaker A:

He does not require you to know all the steps before you proceed seat.

Speaker A:

He just needs you to start taking steps, lean into him so that he can lean you on your unique journey.

Speaker A:

And if you don't begin, start taking steps.

Speaker A:

You'll stay stuck and you'll not move forward so you're not sure where to start.

Speaker A:

Even if it simply means sitting with God in prayer and spending time with him in His Word or even sitting in silence with Him.

Speaker A:

These are still all ways that we are moving and allowing a place for God to speak to us.

Speaker A:

Here's a quick recap of today's conversation.

Speaker A:

Number one Daily consistent prayer is the foundation.

Speaker A:

A real relationship with God through daily prayer and in time in His Word is essential to discerning your unique God given purpose.

Speaker A:

Number two God designed you with intention, your gifts, your talents and your personality.

Speaker A:

They were all hand picked by God to fulfill the mission only you were created to carry out.

Speaker A:

Number three Take consistent action, even small steps.

Speaker A:

You don't need to know the full plan, just faith to take the next step.

Speaker A:

Even time in silence or prayer is purposeful movement.

Speaker A:

And lastly, you need support on the journey.

Speaker A:

Let us pray in the name of the Father, Son, Holy Spirit.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of this moment, for the hearts that are listening, and for the divine purpose you placed within each of us.

Speaker A:

Lord, I lift up every person hearing these words.

Speaker A:

Stir in them a deeper desire to seek you daily, to meet you in the quiet moments, and to trust that you are always near, even in the silence.

Speaker A:

Help them to build a consistent prayer life that anchors their hearts to yours.

Speaker A:

Remind them that they were created with intention, that every gift, talent and personality trait is part of your perfect design.

Speaker A:

May they begin to see themselves through your eyes and recognize the clues you've placed within them.

Speaker A:

Give them the courage to take daily, faithful steps even when the way isn't clear.

Speaker A:

Just like Mary, may they offer you their yes, trusting that you're leading them step by step into their God given purpose.

Speaker A:

We surrender our plans to you, Lord.

Speaker A:

Lead us, guide us and ignite us with the flame of your calling.

Speaker A:

In Jesus name we pray in the name of the Father, Son, Holy Spirit.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Knowledge is power, but true change happens when it is partnered with consistent daily action.

Speaker A:

We cannot gain clarity if we're not taking daily action to help us move forward.

Speaker A:

With that said, I invite you to just pull out your journal and Reflect on Luke 1:38 and start reflecting on what your talents and gifts that God graciously bestowed upon you.

Speaker A:

And after journaling with Luke 1:38 and reflecting on the unique gifts and talents that God has placed within you, share one gift or talent you believe God may be inviting you to use for your unique purpose.

Speaker A:

Or what's one way you're saying yes to God this week, even if it's the next small step?

Speaker A:

Remember, my beautiful sister in Christ that God uniquely created you for a unique purpose.

Speaker A:

You were made to do great things.

Speaker A:

God is within you and you will not fail.
